After the hectic pace of Hanoi, I found the Golden Sand Resort to be a perfect escape. It's a family-friendly place with good food and an incredible spa. Although there were a couple of minor issues, the staff handled them promptly and professionally. The daily shuttle to the old town was fantastic for exploring. However, I did find some extra charges that weren't clearly communicated, which made it feel a bit pricey.
